Here I have created a shooting schedule of which I plan to follow when filming for my music video,
I have put forward my initial ideas that I wish to include in my music video. This has enabled me to plan for practicality and get a good idea of how I will produce this. I have also shown my contact with the artist regarding use of Birdy’s song ‘Shelter’.
To whom this may concern,
My name is Bethlyn Allmey, an A2 Media Student at Haydon School, North West London. For my coursework I must produce a music video and I am consequently writing to request permission for the use of your artist Birdy’s song ‘Shelter’. The song will be used purely for educational purposes and this is a non-profit school project. I hope yo honour my request and I would be very grateful if you could respond as soon as possible.
This post shows the contact I had with my chosen artist Birdy. I emailed Birdy’s agency in order to request permission for the use of her song. This post provides evidence that I have made contact with the artist and is something I can refer back to if I get questioned on it later in the production of my music video.
Today I have developed further in the area of research. I have analysed the lyrics of my song for my music video in regards to meaning which has allowed me to develop a better understanding of the meaning consequently I need to portray in my music video.
I have also researched into publishing platforms and directors which has enabled me better understanding of producing a music video.
I created this to highlight the meaning behind some of the main lyrics in the song ‘Shelter’ by Birdy. I took lines of lyrics and decoded them to explain what I believe the deeper meaning to be, I also made some brief points to explain how some of the lyrics will be beneficial to me and how I will incorporate them when I create my music video.
